I am in love with my new super organized craft room closet! Before we had our daughter we had a 3 bedroom house- our bedroom, a guest bedroom, and a potential nursery. While awaiting a baby, I used the nursery room as a craft room. Awaiting a child and having an empty room can be very depressing, so I made it fun. Then, when we sold our house, we made sure we had room for a nursery and a craft room. We have lived in our house for 1 1/2 years and my craft closet has been such a waste. This past weekend, we installed shelves and life is so much better in that room! I had one shelf above the hanging rod only. My husband added 2 shelves for me - the top one goes from one end of the wall to the other. The bottom shelf has 8 inches open on one end allowing me to stand up frames and artwork not currently hung in our house. It works wonderfully!
The closet is filled with scrapbook supplies, wrapping paper, gift bags, craft idea books, photo boxes, beads for jewelry making, my ever handy label maker, and much more!
The shoe hanger on the door is an idea from my girlfriend Alison. It is the right size for tulle rolls, fabric scraps, cardboard letters, craft paint, paintbrushes, pipe cleaners, etc.
I feel so organized- I need to get to crafting!
