New Favorite Shoes for Spring

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I bought two new pairs of shoes recently. I used to buy shoes once a week, but staying home means a different budget and I haven't bought shoes on a whim in ages.

Here are my new favorites for Spring...

These Converse are great! I have wanted a pair for ages, but didn't want them to be traditional shoes that require socks. I love that these are more like a flat. They don't come in half sizes, so I went 1/2 size down.

I have seen this style of shoes in multiple stores this season. I loved these from DSW because the leather is really soft and they show the right amount of toe. They also come in brown and a metallic gold.

Finally, I am a TOMS girl! I just love them year round. I bought these new chevron ones from Jonathan Adler while on vacation in Dallas for Spring Break. Lots of cute new styles for Spring from TOMS!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Current Comfy Obsessions

I am always on the hunt for cute and comfy shoes. The kind you can wear to the grocery store and the mall and don't feel frumpy or have sore feet at the end of the day. I am loving these three right now for Fall!

Go Walk by Skechers via Zappos were recommended by Mix and Match Mama after a European vacation. They look and feel like slippers, but have the support of tennis shoes. Plus, they come in lots of great bold colors!
A friend of mine's Mother had these on last weekend and I loved them. They are a great low profile tennis shoes and the colors are awesome. I find them on sale on Zappos!
Finally, I just love all of my TOMS and ordered the camo ones as my Fall pair. I am hoping I will be brave and treat them like a neutral and wear them with lots of different things. I can be known to stick to a white t-shirt and jeans with a printed shoe.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Most Comfy Flats I Know

I ran into the Tory Burch outlet recently and tried on the Eddie (pronounced Eadie) flats recently. I have tried Reva flats before- I love the look of them, but they killed my feet. My friend Shelley recommended the Eddie instead. It isn't a super flashy Tory Burch flat and it is much more comfortable.

I love them! I bought a camel patent pair on clearance for $69, down from $175. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for them on sale or at an outlet near you.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Air Tali

I recently splurged on a pair of Air Tali by Cole Haan. As an event planner, when I am on site I can be on my feet for 12 plus hours. I have my fair share of Dansko and Allergra shoes, but nothing cute and practical. So, with a sale and a coupon I bought my first pair. Girls, I am sold!
The leather is so soft and the cushion in plentiful. The heel is just enough and the toe opening is perfect. The sales person had on a black pair that she said she wears daily in retail and has had them for 6 years. They still looked brand new.

I am thrilled with my purchase. The shoes will be great for years to come!

Friday's Foot Fetish- Tory Burch Thora Sandals

I love sandals- in Texas, we can wear them about 10 months out of the year. Honestly, we could wear them year round, but eventually you want to pretend it is winter and wear a tall boot.

So many of my friends (and random people at Target) own this basic sandal from Tory Burch. It comes in every imaginable color- from orange to black patent to these metallics, my personal favorites!

What do you think- do you like the Pewter or the Gold?

Friday's Foot Fetish: Tommy Hilfiger sandals

Did you know Tommy Hilfiger makes sandals? He makes some mighty cute ones!

I love the black and saddle combination and the texture on the black!

These are the cutest jelly sandals and they come in navy and turquoise, too! Perfect for the pool!

I recently bought a pair of longer jeans which are perfect for my favorite wedge sandals and have been looking for a black or navy pair. I think the blue and green with this pair are cute and unique!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Michael Kors Sandals

I haven't done a Friday's Foot Fetish post in a long time! Then, I saw these super cute jelly sandals from Michael Kors and had to share!

I want them in green! They also come in black, brown, white, and pink. They are totally waterproof so they would be super stylish at the pool. I love a t-strap sandal and own my fair share of them.

If you'd like a dressier version, I happen to own these in gold and brown. I have had the gold ones forever and wear them so often, I invested in the saddle brown pair earlier this year. They are soft, well made and have lasted really well. Plus they come in 7 different colors including ORANGE!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Tiny TOMS

My daughter goes to preschool and that means closed toe shoes. I don't love tennis shoes on little kids. I also love dresses on my daughter and most closed toes shoes look awful with dresses, but TOMS have been the answer for us! Abby Lu had three pair she wore for most of last winter and Spring. We have spent the summer in flip flops, but I'm excited about the new tiny TOMS recently released.

I love the new colored soles! So cute and more feminine than the classic beige or black soles.

These are my new favorites! I love the new mary janes. I actually ordered these and a solid black. I love that they look a little nicer, but are like comfy tennis shoes for Abby.

I also love that Abby and I have now bought 5 pairs of shoes for kids in need through their one for one program. It opens up a great conversation about how blessed she is and how we can help others.

Yea for TOMS!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Luggage Brown

My husband and I both bought shoes out of the ordinary for us recently!

I am a flats girl and rarely wear heels, but I loved the color and pattern of these wedges. They make me tall! Like it suddenly felt like the light switch had been lowered! They have a 4" heel, but they are comfy and cute with jeans.

My husband also bought a new pair of loafers for work- the same color! His cool new shoes are from Stacy Adams. She has a lot of neat and trendy designs.

Aren't These Awful?

What in the world?
1. Would you wear these and if so, with what?

2. Would you pay $2,695 for them?

Friday's Foot Fetish

I haven't done a foot fetish posts in months. I quit last fall when I changed jobs so that I could stay home with my daughter. My Zappos shopping has dropped dramatically which is a good thing. But, I have bought two pairs of shoes this winter that I absolutely love!

Michael Kors City Flats- $89 on Zappos

I have owned the pink since last Spring and am always on the hunt for a good black flat. There is something that bugs me about each pair I currently own... so I spent the money to buy the city flats in black. They feel more like a tennis shoe on, no break-in time, and they look much dressier than they feel. They are perfect on the go shoes! I wear them with jeans, slacks, and capri pants. I really want the tan suede pair now :)

I spend a lot of time at home in pajama pants. I thought staying home would bore me when I worked full time, but now, I love at home days. I never ever thought that would happen! Being home more, I needed good warm slippers. Our tile and hardwood is cold!

Ugg Ansley Slipper- $100 on Zappos

I bought a couple of inexpensive slippers at Macy's before Christmas and they didn't last. I had holes on the bottom of both pair within a month. I saw these and fell in love. Warm and fuzzy- check. Hard soles to last longer- check. Solid back to stay on when my feet are propped up- check. The price wasn't favorable, so I sold a pair of Tory Burch Reva flats on eBay and bought these instead. I wear them everyday and never wore my Reva flats. I bought the classic chestnut color and they came out in red the following week. Never fails- I would have loved red!

These shoes are well loved on Zappos- 135 reviews and still 5 stars!

October Desktop and FFF Update

If you have read this blog for any period of time, you know I love fall. I love football, fall candles, pumpkins, soups, scarves, browns and oranges, all of it! Enjoy this month's calendar- one of my favorites.
You may remember, I quit my job in August to be at home with my daughter more. I now work about 15 hours per week doing marketing for a real estate group and planning four events per year for my former employer. It is the perfect balance of home and work for me and I love it. However, we cut our income to give me more time with Abby and that means a lot less shopping for shoes. So, I won't be doing Friday's Foot Fetish every single Friday. I'll share on occasion when I come across some, but looking at shoes every week isn't healthy for my budget!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Big Buddha

Lots of my friends have cute Big Buddha handbags- I love their fun designs and cheap prices!
Now they have shoes- also cute and inexpensive! Most of their shoes are $39.95. The reviews say they run small, so be careful when ordering!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Wide Calf Riding Boot

I have never been able to wear tall boots- my calves are just too big and I am too short. This fall my goal is to wear a pair of real leather tall riding boots. I have lost 20 pounds over the summer and my calves have gotten smaller. I still need wide calf boots, but I feel more confident than ever that they will fit!
I ordered this pair from Lands End (when they were 30% off) and they are on their way. Praying they fit and look fabulous. And then, that the weather cools down so that I can actually wear them without sweating!

P.S. They are currently $20 off with free shipping

P.S.S. The wide is 17 1/8" wide.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Rain Boots

Do you think if I bought these I could make it rain?

Seriously, I'd love these for the fall and winter. They are an inexpensive version of the Hunter pair I wanted last winter.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Lace Up Wedges

These shoes are hot! I don't own a lot of hot clothes to go with them, but I love them!
The lace up detail on the back is much more visible in this pearly pink color than the black. They also have a silvery green version.

Friday's Foot Fetish:Riding Boots

I love love these boots- the color, the rounded toe, the little detail up top, all of it. I'll never own them- they are almost $500!
There is another reason I'll never own them- I have big calves. I've never worn tall boots. I really want to change that! I have seen wide calf boots and they are either not wide enough or think that I've lost all fashion sense and are cheaply made. I am working hard over the next few months to be able to wear a pair this winter. I am meeting with a trainer soon and that is the goal I want to discuss with her and develop a plan so that tall boots are in my winter wardrobe!

Friday's Foot Fetish: Comfortable Heels

I wasn't sure if I'd ever find a basic black pair of heels that didn't kill my feet. Make them peep toe and the task was even more impossible. But, I found them! And, I love them. And, I can't wait to wear them! These are wide enough to not squish your toes inside and they have tons of padding.
As far as I know, they can only be found at Dillards.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Alegria

As an event planner, we spend 12 or more hours standing while on show site. When you have a desk job and suddenly stand that much, you need really good shoes! Alegria is my new favorite onsite shoe!
These are a thick soled shoe which is great for long dress pants. The toe part is angled up helping reduce the impact of so much walking on your knees and lower back. And, they are super duper cushioned inside. I love them!

Plus, Zappos has them in tons of fun colors and prints!
