Creamy Beef Stroganoff

I really like beef stroganoff that cooks all day in the crockpot, but I hadn't found a version of it that I really loved. I have made beef cubes in the oven which is good, but it isn't creamy like this new recipe. And, the Worcestershire sauce gives it a little extra flavor. I really think you'll like this one.

Creamy Beef Stroganoff
recipe courtesy of The Crockstar

2 pounds cubed stew meat
2 cans Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup
1 largish onion diced
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire
1/2 water
8 oz of cream cheese
couple of dashes of Garlic Salt (1 tsp?)
couple dashes of Hot Paprika (see I just can't believe this would be good without some sort of kick)

In the slow cooker stir in all the ingredients, except the meat AND the Cream Cheese, together. Once combined add the meat and mix together.

Cook on Low for 8 hours. Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crockpot on high. Stir the cream cheese in until all combined. You might have to put the lid back on and leave for 10 minutes.

Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!

Spicy Sausage Pasta

This recipe has over 300,000 repins! Seriously, has everyone found this online and repinned it? How many have gone through their pins and made it? ha!

I made it and loved it! It has great flavor and everything cooks in one pot which I appreciate. It is great "man" food. Very filling and spicy! I'd recommend it for a hearty eater at your dinner table.

Italian Wonderpot

I found this recipe for a big pot of noodles with lots of Italian seasonings and thought it would be a great side for the boring grilled chicken breast we seem to eat once a week.

I filled my Dutch oven with all the yummy ingredients- noodles, veggie broth, spinach, diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil, oregano.... good stuff!

After a good stir and a few minutes boiling in the pot, I had this super flavorful pot of noodles! And, a big pot it was.... we have eaten 3 meals from this pot! We had it with grilled chicken one night and sausage another and we have enough to accompany another meal tonight.

Creamy Garlic Pasta

We had this yummy pasta as a side dish and it stole the show! We both wanted more of this instead of the main dish. I highly recommend it. Oh, and it is even better the second day when everything has really settled into the noodles.

Quick Carbonara

My husband and I ate at a small beautiful Italian restaurant a few years ago for our anniversary and I fell in love with their carbonara. It came out as a big mountain of noodles with an egg yolk sitting on top. I was freaked out, but tried to maintain my composure in such a nice setting. I stirred the yolk into the pasta and said a little prayer before taking my first bite. I was sold!

It tasted like breakfast and pasta and cheese and all levels of goodness. When digging through cookbooks recently, I saw a Southern Living version of carbonara and decided to try it.

I will admit this isn't as good as my fancy restaurant carbonara, but it also doesn't cost $20. So, I highly recommend giving this easy weeknight dish a try! You wouldn't be disappointed!

You can view and print the recipe here. Enjoy!

Tortellini Salad

Last summer I took the day off to visit my friend Alison in San Antonio. It was a great day to just chat with a girlfriend, see our kids play, and enjoy the fun of summer! She made us a wonderful and easy pasta salad for lunch and since it is summer- we've enjoyed it for dinner lately! Alison's Tortelloni Salad
Cook and drain according to package
They also have cheese or chicken if you'd prefer!
Add:
1 package pine nuts
a handful of chopped grape tomatoes
a handful chopped fresh basil
Parmesan cheese
Coat with La Martinique French Vinaigrette
It is wonderful as a side dish or as your main dish with some bread on the side!
